Mountain's Edge
Family-minded southwest living with trails, views, and a community that feels planned around your days.
Neighborhood Guide
A master-planned community in southwest Las Vegas built for families, with parks, trails, mountain views, and newer homes.
Mountains Edge is a master-planned community in the Enterprise township of southwest Las Vegas, developed from the mid-2000s across roughly 3,500 acres at the foot of the McCullough range. It is family-first by design: three community parks, miles of trails and paseos, and the signature 80-acre Exploration Peak Park with its Western-themed playground, splash pad, amphitheater, and hiking trail to the peak. Newer homes, a strong first-time and move-up market, and a commute inside the 215 define the daily reality.

What makes it home
Life inside Mountain's Edge
The outdoor layer is the identity. Exploration Peak Park anchors the community with an Old West-themed playground, a splash pad, picnic areas, and a roughly one-mile hiking trail to a summit overlook with views across the valley. Paiute Park and Nathaniel Jones Park round out the community parks, and paseos and walking trails connect the neighborhoods so a bike ride or evening walk rarely needs a car.
The community was developed by Focus Property Group starting in 2004 and now spans dozens of neighborhoods with more than 12,000 homes. Because the growth has been steady, you will find a mix of new construction and lightly lived-in resale across a wide range of price points, which is why it shows up again and again on first-time and move-up shortlists.
Mountains Edge is a master plan rather than a single guard-gated development: an open plan with a master association, parks and recreation maintained by the community, and individual sub-associations per neighborhood. The newer 100-acre Mountain's Edge Regional Park nearby adds recreation fields and open space for weekend play.

HOA & community rules
How Mountain's Edge stays planned
Mountains Edge is HOA-managed through a master association plus sub-associations per neighborhood. Dues commonly total roughly $50 to $150 per month depending on the neighborhood, funding the parks, paseos, landscaping, trails, and recreation the community is known for.
Because the fees vary by neighborhood and phase, I pull the actual master and sub-association figures for the specific property when we run your monthly math.
Questions people ask
Straight answers about Mountain's Edge
Is Mountains Edge a good first-time buyer community?
It is one of the stronger ones in the southwest, because the community turns over a lot of newer homes and attached product at entry-friendly levels. You get a planned neighborhood and trail access without paying the top of the market.
How does Mountains Edge compare to the far northwest?
Both are family-focused master-planned layouts, but Mountains Edge sits on the southwest side of the valley, which changes your school zone, your commute, and your resale pool. I help buyers weigh which side of the valley runs their lives.
Is Exploration Peak Park really the draw?
Yes, genuinely. It is an 80-acre regional park with a Western-themed playground, splash pad, outdoor amphitheater, picnic areas, and a hiking trail to the peak with valley views. On weekend mornings it is one of the busiest family spots in the southwest, which tells you how much families actually use it.
Is there an HOA in Mountains Edge?
Yes, a master association plus neighborhood sub-associations, with total dues commonly in the $50 to $150 per month range depending on the neighborhood. What they fund is real: parks, paseos, trails, and common landscaping.
