Anthem Country Club

Anthem Country Club sits inside the larger Anthem master plan, which the city of Henderson annexed in the late 1990s and which Del Webb opened in 1998. The country-club portion was planned around a private golf course from the start, and the combination of guard-gated entry, foothill elevation, and Black Mountain views separated it from ordinary suburbia immediately. It has stayed that way: quiet streets, mature landscaping, and neighbors who mostly intend to stay.

Homes here span custom-built estates on substantial lots down to a smaller number of production homes, with floor plans from single-story designs to large two-story estates. Fairway and Black Mountain view sites set the tone, and newer gated sections within the community carry the estate standard forward. If the goal is a private, low-maintenance luxury address where the landscaping, the security, and the presentation are handled, this is one of Henderson's clearest examples.

The private 18-hole championship course was designed by architect Keith R. Foster, with PGA Tour star Hale Irwin as design consultant, and opened in 1999. It plays about 7,267 yards from the back tees, cut through desert canyons with real elevation change and Strip and mountain views. The club carries the social life: a grand clubhouse, dining, pools, tennis and pickleball, and fitness. Membership and HOA requirements travel with the homes, so the dues structure is part of the purchase math, and I break it down line by line before we run the numbers together.
